2010 - New Decade and Necessary Priorities

Comment:  Your golf committee and the management team at Cranberry Valley will be working hard toward the following goals this winter and into the new decade.   Meeting these goals will be a challenge.  This is not a wish list, but rather a list of priorities that keep your golf course moving forward in a competitive market place.  We are committed to the goal of offering, you our customer, the best possible and affordable golf experience on the Cape.  Please note changes in progress for 2010.

 Power Cart Priorities equal revenue enhancement

  1. Continuous cart paths - under study, and designed by Mungeam Cornish Golf Design, Inc.  (same as our trap and range design) -in progress for 2010.
  2. Replacement of cart storage building
  3. Electric hook-ups from street to new cart path building
  4. Redesign of arrival area

Food Service Priorities equal revenue enhancement

  1. Replacement of kitchen equipment
  2. Purchase/Lease of beverage cart – in progress for 2010
  3. Building of function room addition on to restaurant
  4. Establish outdoor cookout/picnic area by restaurant for Lobster Boils/Rib Nights
  5. Enclosures for restaurant porch
  6. Creation of ground tent area for tournament cookouts

Maintenance Priorities help to improve and preserve the Town’s investment

  • Replacement of Starter’s Building – will be complete for the 2010 season
  • Tee box renovation – two tees completed in 2009, No. 4 and No. 7,  ready for the 2010 season
  • Three fairway turf aerations per year – 2010
  • Tree clearing – benefits light and air around tee boxes-winter program for 2010
  • Brush clearing – ongoing through the winter
  • Replacement of Maintenance buildings
  • Replacement of irrigation networks etc as needed.
  • Redesign of driving range to include year round “Harmon” type teaching space
  • Picnic tables/Settees at driving range
  •  Equipment repair and refurbishment
